CNET reports that Meross smart home devices are discounted by up to 38% during Amazon’s October Prime Day sale. Listed offers include a $72 Wi-Fi water timer and a $59 garage door opener kit; prices and availability may change.
Meross smart home devices are discounted by up to 38% in Amazon’s October Prime Day sale, according to CNET, with offers covering products such as a Wi-Fi water timer, garage door opener kits, smart plugs and a thermostat. The reported deals give shoppers a range of prices to compare, though sale prices and stock can change.
CNET reports the largest listed reduction is on the Meross Wi-Fi water timer, priced at $72 against a $116 list price, a $44 difference. The device connects to a garden hose or sprinkler system, supports two watering zones and can use real-time weather data to skip watering when rain is expected, according to the report.
A Meross smart garage door opener remote is listed at $59, compared with a $70 list price, which CNET describes as a 15% saving. The report says the kit includes an external antenna intended to improve Wi-Fi reception and extend its range. Other Meross offers include a smart thermostat listed at $68 and an outdoor smart plug with a reported 15% discount; CNET does not provide the outdoor plug’s sale price.
The article also points to discounts on smart plugs and strip lights, but it does not list prices for every product. The advertised “up to 38%” figure refers to the maximum reported discount, not a discount that applies across the full Meross range. Shoppers should check the current Amazon listing for each item’s price, compatibility details and availability.
Savings Span Several Smart Home Uses
The reported sale covers devices for watering, garage access, lighting and temperature control, so the offers may be relevant to households considering different kinds of home automation. The water timer’s weather-based skip feature and two-zone setup are specific capabilities that may matter to gardeners with varied watering needs.
Prices also vary considerably: CNET lists the Meross thermostat at $68, while it says the Ecobee Smart Thermostat Premium is on sale for $210. CNET calls the Ecobee its favorite smart thermostat of 2026, but the price gap alone does not establish which model is a better fit. Features, system compatibility and the buyer’s requirements remain factors to compare.

October Prime Day Deal Window
The Meross reductions are part of Amazon’s October Prime Day sale, rather than a separate pricing announcement from Meross. CNET’s report directs readers to the brand’s Amazon sale section and says that other smart home deals are available during the same event.
CNET identifies one of the discounted garage door opener kits as appearing on its best smart garage door openers of 2026 list. Senior Editor Tyler Lacoma highlighted its potential usefulness for longer driveways or homes with multiple garage doors, and noted that CarPlay support can provide control through a car dashboard. Those are CNET’s assessment and product details, not a guarantee that the kit will suit every garage or vehicle setup.

Prices and Compatibility Can Change
CNET’s report provides a snapshot of the sale, but current prices, stock and deal terms may differ from those figures. It does not state how long each listed offer will remain available, and it does not give complete pricing for every Meross product mentioned.
The report also does not provide detailed compatibility information for each device, such as which garage opener systems, smart home platforms or thermostat setups are supported. Buyers will need to check the relevant product listing and their existing equipment before purchasing.
